First Saturday of each month.
Dates for 2013 as follows: March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7 and 25.
Praise and Thunder is a DBC opportunity to minister to the homeless in Washington, DC. We meet at 11:00 am on the designated dates at the church to prepare bag lunches for those we serve.
We leave the church around noon and return by 4 pm. Frequently clothing items are taken and distributed. The hope is that after the food distribution, time would be taken to connect with our friends at the park. If you would like to donate clothing, the following items are appreciated: warm winter coats, hoodie sweatshirts with drawstrings, weather appropriate shirts, jeans, socks, belts and backpacks. The socks are items that should be new. Other clothing items listed are generally for men and should be clothing that you would wear – in other words, clean and useable.
If you need further information regarding this ministry, the lead contact is contact Tim Duley or 240-997-0316.
